Our community knows Gavin as a visionary leader. The Gavin Buckley I know, from working alongside him, is a man of deep integrity, genuine kindness, and a peerless work ethic. He loves this community and he wakes up every day looking for ways to put his talents and boundless energy to work on our behalf and make things better. To put it simply: Gavin Buckley is good people. I  know he will be an engaged and hard working representative for District 6 and I’m proud to give him my full endorsement. 

I had the pleasure of working for Gavin when I was the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator in the Mayor’s Office. I know him, I know how genuine he is, and how he always works hard to create opportunity and solve problems. That’s what he did for me – he is the person who opened so many doors for me in Annapolis and beyond. 

I believe in Gavin because I know first hand that he is someone who makes things happen and who makes things better. In Annapolis, he created so much space for people to feel welcome and to be included. Together we walked so many communities, and got so much done for the Latino community- from pop up resource events, to a new playground in Annapolis Walk, to all the outreach and services he led and supported as Mayor during the Covid 19 pandemic. He was always asking what’s next, what else can we do? He always creates opportunities for people and he makes spaces for them to be included. That’s a really important quality to have in our county Council member.
